E911 Project:

Creating and updating address ranges, street names and road centerline data for use in the E911 dispatch center's GIS component across the entire San Luis Valley.


* San Luis Valley Fire Planning:

Conducting fire hazard assessment for private land, primarily in subdivisions, determined to be at highest risk for wildlife.


BLM Agreement:

Support planning for fire suppression activities, prevention / education, hazardous fuels reduction and other fire management programs.


SLV Noxious Weed Group:

Support and provide GIS and GPS expertise for valley-wide noxious weed inventory. Check the Create map page to see the status of GPS weed mapping.


Strategic Conservation Inventory and Planning:

Rio Grande Headwaters Land Trust (RiGHT) inventory of conservation efforts across the San Luis Valley.



* Wildfire hazard ratings based on vegetation, slope, aspect, lightening strike history, roads, and population density. Based on procedures developed be the US Forest Service and Colorado State Forest Service.
